We’re looking for coaches and volunteers! Snowflake is a nonprofit that relies on many volunteers to keep our trails and programs up and running smoothly. Please take a minute to read through the following options and fill out our KidSki 2022 Volunteer Form. We are seeking volunteers for the following positions:
-
- We are looking for enthusiastic coaches who are excited to help make the KidSki magic happen.
- Coaches must have a base level knowledge of Nordic skiing using the classic technique (striding in the tracks) and LOTS of fun energy.
- While we’d love to have coaches able to attend all 6 weeks of KidSki, we understand that may not be possible. Coaches must be able to attend a minimum of 4 weeks of program.
- Coaches must be at least 16 years of age to lead a group, but younger coaches (ages 12-15) may apply to help assist groups.
- Our ability to serve a greater number of youth depends solely on the number of coaches we can recruit. If you, a family member, a neighbor, or a friend might be a good fit please fill out the volunteer form!
- KidSki Equipment Fitters (week of January 2nd). Please note, we will be requiring face coverings be worn inside the chalet during equipment fittings.
- Week 1 KidSki Greeters: direct traffic, welcome families, help kids find their equipment, and direct them towards their coach/group
- Weekly Chalet Parents: Help one week or all six! Stay on-site in the chalet throughout practice to help: distribute equipment, those who may show up late, with warm-up or bathroom breaks, collect returned equipment, distribute cocoa at the end of practice. Please note, we will be requiring masks be worn inside the chalet during KidSki 2022.
- Photographer: Help one week or all six! Get out on the trails and take photos of groups and kids to share with their families.
- Week 6 KidSki Carnival Festivities: Assist coaches with the last week of programming where we have a fun ski carnival.
- We are looking for enthusiastic coaches who are excited to help make the KidSki magic happen.
